Walking in the hills of Incisa Valdarno, you can easily arrive to the small but beautiful Loppiano, where you can see:
- what remains of the ancient castle of Incisa and beside the house where he lived the famous poet Francesco Petrarca as a child, a plaque commemorating the illustrious citizen;
- the Citadel of Loppiano from outside and various educational centers located here;
- the modern Sanctuary of Mary Theotokos with the enormous church.
