The small village of Loro Ciuffenna (Ar), perched at the foot of Pratomagno and over the protected area of the crags is situated 330 meters above sea level, is perhaps the most characteristic and well preserved between Florence and Arezzo., and it is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
The name is attested for the first time in 1050 as “Loro”, from the Latin Laurus, laurel. While the name of the river that passes through it, quoted in 1307 as Iofinne, is probably of Etruscan origin. Today Loro Ciuffenna is certainly a place of residence and area renowned for its mild, dry climate, for its silence and tranquility that are the backdrop for scenes of rare beauty.
